58449. YARYURA-TOBIAS, Jose A.; NEZIROGLU, Fugen A

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Spectrum: Pathogenisis, Diagnosis, and Treatment . American Psychiatric Press 1997. 321pp. Hardcover. Based on extensive clinical experience with over 2,000 patients and exhaustive literature reviews, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Spectrum presents a comprehensive examination of OCD, its related disorders, and their treatment regimens. In this book, Drs. Yaryura-Tobias and Neziroglu propose a unique theory for OCD that defines the condition as a complex phenomenon of unknown duration with a variable symptomatology that affects the individual's biological and social well-being. They argue that OCD is not a single clinical entity but part of a continuum of related disorders previously considered to be separate. As a result, the authors advocate an integrated approach to treatment, including family intervention, cognitive-behavior therapy, and pharmacotherapy. ISBN: 0-88048-707-0.

CHARMANT-WALZER: Des Verfassers beste Laune. 31tes Werk. Wien. Tobias Haslinger. n.d. (after 1835). (The title page picture was taken in 1829 when Strauss (father) was aged 25. An oblong volume, all engraved music, with some really delightful lithographed covers. Covers are half vellum, with decorative paper to boards, and the binding is sound. Title page is foxed, and there is foxing to perhaps half of the pages of music. This appears to be a private binding of a collection of this publisher's works. The notes on some pages have bled through to the other side of the page. This is nevertheless a most charming volume, in good condition.
