BEAUTIFUL CHORAL SOUNDS AT ST STEPHEN'S NEWTOWN
Staff member, conductor and singer Margot and her husband David have recently joined local chamber choir Bel A Cappella, a very accomplished small ensemble dedicated to performing diverse, high quality choral music. If you're wandering around Glebe Point on a Thursday night, you just might hear their voices as they rehearse in St Scholastica's. Join them in historic St Stephen's Church, 189 Church St Newtown at 2.30pm on Sunday 16 November for Scala Enigmatica, a concert of beautiful, intimate works from across and beyond the 20th century. Conducted by Musical Director Stephan Kooper, the program includes Britten's Hymn to St Cecilia, and works by Verdi, Lauridsen, Pärt and Australians Grainger, Orlovich, Drury & Leek.  Tickets $20 (students $10). Further information & bookings: 0404 674654, bookings@bel.org.au or www.bel.org.au

DaCapoMUSICIANS UNITE!
Interested in helping Da Capo become even better at serving the needs of musicians and music lovers, and promoting your own or your group's musical enterprise at the same time? If so, drop us a line on music@dacapo.com.au and tell us your ideas. E.g., we could display your poster or flyers in our shop and you could put an ad for Da Capo in your concert program or our bookmarks in the foyer. Or you could place a short ad in our seasonal newsletter and in return promote Da Capo in your newsletter to your members or subscribers. Of course you might have much better ideas than these - in any case we would love to hear from you! music@dacapo.com.au

FAREWELL TO STAFF MEMBER MICHAEL
As happens often in such a business, we must farewell staff members as they move to greener pastures. Michael has been with Da Capo for over 4 years and is now moving on to follow up his previous career in animation. He speaks very fondly of his years at Da Capo and is grateful for meeting all the wonderful friends and customers who he has come across while on the job. He will miss them very much. However, his unique musical transcription service will remain up & running. You can contact him at itranscribe@mac.com
